The S5578D by Richmond is a swivel frame castor and uses a polyurethane wheel. This swivel castor is in our stainless steel elite bolt range and can hold loads up to 100kg. The S5578D wheel is fitted with stainless steel ball bearings and is bolt mounted. The swivel frame design of this castor allows full swivel rotation to enable steering. The polyurethane wheel diameter is 125mm, the wheel width is 27mm and you can order separately (Part Number: PU5539). For the same castor without a direction lock, see S5578.
This castor includes a directional lock – This feature locks the swivel direction of the castor but still allows the wheel to turn. When the directional lock is released, full swivel function is returned to the castor. Castors with a directional lock are indicated by a ‘D’ at the end of the castor code, and feature a green pedal on the castor frame.
