Workbench and Machinery Table Castors
Workbench wheels allow for the safe and easy repositioning of workbenches and machinery tables. These kits contain everything that you need for installation, including 4 x polyurethane castors, mounting plates, fasteners, wrenches, an installation plate and an instruction manual. They are easy to install, and even easier to use.
We offer two different options for attaching to your workbench or machinery table: fixed (permanent) or quick-release (temporary). The quick-release option allows you to slide the castor out of the frame, reducing the likelihood of tripping. This option is also ideal for use in smaller areas where you need to maximise space.
Both kits have a load capacity of 400kg, making them the ideal choice for heavy workbenches or tables.
Workbench Castor Features
Our workbench castor sets come with 4 polyurethane wheels, which are non-marking, easy to roll and extremely durable. They are the ideal choice for workshops, garages or job sites. The castor pedal frames are constructed from a high-quality steel, and the pedals feature ridges for extra grip. These kits are everything you’ve come to expect from a Richmond product – they’re tough, they’re high-quality and they’re expertly designed. Richmond NZ are your number one castor supplier in New Zealand, and you can always rely on us to provide the best products possible.
How to Use Workbench Wheels
So, you want to reposition your workbench or table? Easy. Use your foot to apply pressure to each workbench castor pedal, which will raise your platform approximately 25.5mm/1” from the floor. Then, move your workbench into position to where you’d like it. To lower the bench again and stop it from moving any further, lift the pedal of each castor upwards. Once you do this on all 4 castors, the bench will be back on the ground and movement will be disabled.
If you have installed the quick-release mounting option, you can also now remove the castors by pressing down on the spring lever on each mounting plate, and sliding the castor out sideways.
How to Put Wheels on a Workbench
These kits make attaching wheels to a workbench incredibly easy. Everything you need is included in the kit, right down to an installation template for drilling.
Fixed Mounting Workbench Castor Installation Instructions
To install the plate, mark the holes for drilling with the included “easy-install” template and attach using the wood screws provided. Use the 4 corner holes for the best stability. If your bench leg is less than 75mm wide, use the two centre holes in the mounting plate.
Attach the castors by placing the castor bolt through the hole in the plate, and threading on the M12 nut by hand. Tighten using the wrenches provided.
Quick-Release Workbench Castor Installation Instructions
Mount the quick-release mounting plate to your workbench using the M6x75mm countersunk bolts, nuts and washers provided.
Attach the castors by placing the castor bolt through the hole in the plate, and threading on the M12 nut by hand. Tighten using the wrenches provided
Slide the completed workbench castor assembly into the quick-release mounting plate. The auto-locking spring will secure the castor in place.
